Team Overview

Maded in Bangkok, our Data team handles all company-wide data needs. We strive to enhance data usage through innovative solutions and robust platforms such as analytical databases, BI tools, queue systems, and data science methods. Our team collaborates across diverse cultures and disciplines to support decision-making and improve customer experience, fraud detection, and more.

Role Summary

This position is based in Bangkok and targets experienced data scientists eager to tackle large-scale machine learning and big data challenges involving processing over 600 billion daily events and generating around 5 billion predictions.

As a member of the Data Science & Machine Learning team, you will work on dynamic pricing, real-time customer intent prediction, optimizing search results for lifetime value, deep learning on multimedia data, personalized recommendations, and algorithmically enabled promotions for partners. You will leverage one of the largest ML infrastructures, including multiple GPUs, over 30,000 CPU cores, and vast memory resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy models and algorithms aimed at enhancing customer and supply value, business performance, and system scalability.
• Analyze massive datasets from hundreds of millions of customers and hundreds of millions of daily user events to uncover actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with software developers and business stakeholders to produce high-quality daily outcomes.
• Research and innovate new methodologies advancing data science initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• At least 4 years of practical experience in data science.
• Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning, deep learning, and statistics alongside proficiency with related open-source libraries and frameworks.
• Advanced skills in SQL and programming languages such as Python, PySpark, or Scala.
• Ability to lead projects independently and contribute effectively to team efforts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities in multicultural environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or related quantitative fields.
• Experience working with NLP, image processing, or recommendation system technologies.
• Hands-on expertise in big data frameworks like Spark and Hadoop.
• Background in data science applications within e-commerce or online travel industries.
