About Deel

Deel operates as a unified payroll and HR solution built for global teams. Its platform brings together HRIS, payroll, compliance, benefits, performance, and equipment management so companies can run distributed workforces more efficiently. With AI-enabled capabilities and its own payroll infrastructure, Deel serves all worker types across more than 150 countries, helping businesses grow with greater speed and compliance.

The company is globally distributed, with a team of 7,000 people across more than 100 countries speaking 74 languages. That scale supports a collaborative and fast-moving culture focused on learning, innovation, and customer impact.

As one of the fastest-scaling SaaS companies in history, Deel is helping reshape how talent connects with companies worldwide by removing barriers that have historically limited hiring and career mobility. In 2024, the company paid $11.2 billion to workers in nearly 100 currencies and delivered healthcare and benefits in 109 countries. Deel has also earned recognition from CNBC Disruptor 50, Forbes Cloud 100, Deloitte Fast 500, and Y Combinator rankings, while maintaining a 4.83 average rating across major review platforms.

Backed by a $17.3 billion valuation and $1 billion in annual recurring revenue in just over five years, the company offers the chance to work on problems that shape the future of global work at meaningful scale.

About the Role

Deel IT is responsible for managing the complete device lifecycle for Deel’s worldwide workforce, including procurement, shipping, support, and returns across more than 100 countries and a large network of couriers and suppliers. This is a mission-critical internal operation where service-level commitments are measurable and failures are visible.

The company is looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead the Operations sub-team product area. The engineering backlog is already substantial and clearly defined, so the focus is on prioritising effectively, accelerating delivery, and automating manual workflows across logistics and device lifecycle operations. This role is strongly execution-oriented and requires close engagement with data and day-to-day operational realities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set direction and priority for the Deel IT Operations roadmap, turning a large engineering backlog into delivered work with speed and clarity.
  • Create automation that reduces manual effort in shipping labels, live tracking consolidation, device condition records, and IT support resolution.
  • Own and improve operational metrics such as device delivery timeliness, ticket response speed, and revenue efficiency per operations and engineering headcount.
  • Design dashboards and alerting mechanisms that identify service-level risk early.
  • Partner daily with engineering, operations, and supplier teams to convert complex frontline needs into clear, well-scoped priorities.
  • Use AI tools regularly for research, synthesis, documentation, and decision support as a core part of the role.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of product management experience, including 1 year or more in a Staff PM or equivalent senior individual contributor role with broad ownership.
  • A systems-oriented mindset with the ability to identify leverage points across interconnected teams, tools, and workflows.
  • A delivery-focused style that stays close to execution, maintains strong attention to detail, and moves quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Comfort working with SQL, data platforms, and spreadsheets to perform independent analysis and build custom views.
  • Experience working in fast-iterating, scaled environments where growth increases operational complexity.
  • Regular, practical use of AI tools in day-to-day work, with the ability to show real usage rather than just discuss it.
  • Preferred background in logistics, supply chain, physical operations, fulfilment, device lifecycle, rider operations, or similar domains.
  • Helpful exposure to supplier networks, multi-party operational systems, or internal tooling that is not customer-facing.

Rewards and Benefits

  • Stock grant opportunities, depending on the role, employment status, and location.
  • Additional perks and benefits that vary by employment status and country.
  • Remote-work flexibility, with optional access to WeWork.
