Job description
Job Overview and Responsibilities
The role involves performing various nursing tasks including phlebotomy, providing injections both subcutaneous and intramuscular, and applying basic wound dressings. The nurse will conduct initial patient assessments, offer medical treatment, and provide counselling to patients. Medication dispensing and management of patient case notes are also key tasks, requiring accurate and up-to-date record keeping. The nurse will assist doctors by preparing patients for examinations and providing chaperone support as needed.
Administrative duties form an essential part of the role, encompassing patient registration, processing payments, appointment scheduling, financial counselling, inventory control, and handling insurance claims. Ensuring all necessary equipment such as payment systems, medical supplies like medications and masks, as well as stationery, are available and operational is part of daily responsibilities. The nurse must maintain high standards of medical care and service delivery consistently throughout their duties.
Work Schedule
- Work 4.5 days per week totaling 44 hours
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM (staggered hours)
- Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM (staggered hours)
- Saturday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a minimum of a Diploma in Nursing with at least two years of professional experience
- Must be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
- Proficiency in phlebotomy is required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer service oriented with a caring approach
- Enthusiastic about learning and working within the healthcare sector
