Radiographer - CT Scanning

Role Overview

This position requires an experienced Radiographer specializing in CT scans to perform a wide range of CT procedures at an advanced level. The successful candidate will prioritize patient care, manage workload from various referral sources, and optimize resource deployment to ensure examinations are performed safely, accurately, and promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive CT scanning procedures adhering to high technical and professional standards.
• Assess and prioritize patients from multiple referral pathways and organize work efficiently.
• Operate as a practitioner under the Trust's IR(ME) Regulations (2017), conducting imaging examinations and intravenous cannulation with administration of contrast or drugs.
• Provide expert advice on imaging requests in alignment with Royal College of Radiologists and IR(ME) Regulations protocols.
• Participate in quality assurance processes to uphold superior imaging and patient care standards.
• Contribute to training activities to support professional development within the team.
• Support service management by offering expert opinions and solutions amidst changing service demands.
• Engage in flexible working hours including out-of-hours and on-call duties as required.
• Ensure the scanning environment respects privacy, dignity, equality, and diversity, focusing on delivering compassionate care.
• Plan and oversee workload for self and others to meet Radiology service targets.
• Advocate for the Trust's vision, values, and strategic objectives.

Additional Information

This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months within Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, serving a large population with multiple hospital sites.
