Role overview

The Sr. Manager, People & Culture Business Partner for Studio Marketing is a strategic HR leader who works with marketing executives and managers across Creative Advertising, Strategy, Publicity, Partnerships, and Events to help create an outstanding employee experience.

In this position, you will serve as a dependable advisor and business partner, turning marketing and audience goals into coordinated people strategies that help teams produce standout campaigns and storytelling at scale. You will collaborate with a broader HR team to ensure solutions are informed by data, inclusive in design, and aligned with the organization’s values and creative priorities.

What this role focuses on

This position provides senior-level People & Culture leadership to several Studios Marketing groups, aligning talent plans with business needs across theatrical and streaming marketing. It supports organizational effectiveness, employee growth, and culture change in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment where creativity, speed, and audience impact matter.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and shape future-focused organizational and talent strategies that respond to changing marketing approaches, audience behavior, and industry direction.
  • Advise leaders on org design, team performance, leadership capability, and change management to build strong and effective marketing organizations.
  • Lead planning and execution for workforce strategy, hiring, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, succession, and retention across marketing teams.
  • Support teams focused on campaign planning, creative work, and audience engagement by aligning talent strategy with campaign timelines and business priorities.
  • Work in partnership with People & Culture Centers of Excellence and cross-segment marketing partners to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Apply workforce analytics and business data to guide organization design, talent decisions, and resource planning.
  • Promote inclusive talent practices that represent varied audiences and support equitable team processes.
  • Coach leaders to improve clarity, accountability, and effectiveness while managing change in a high-visibility, high-pressure setting.
  • Help create a workplace where Disney values are reflected in day-to-day behavior, with a strong emphasis on innovation, collaboration, inclusion, and authenticity.

Required qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in HR, organizational development, training, or talent management.
  • Background as a strategic HR business partner in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to turn business goals into practical HR initiatives.
  • Strong experience in organization design, change management, and enterprise-scale transformation.
  • Proven credibility influencing senior leaders in an advisory capacity.
  • Ability to use workforce data and analytics to support decisions.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Comfort managing several priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above.

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting creative, media, or entertainment organizations.
  • Experience using SAP, Workday, or comparable HR platforms.
  • Advanced study or certifications in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related area.

Compensation and benefits

The hiring range for this role in Burbank, CA is $168,200 to $205,400 per year. Final base pay may vary based on internal equity, candidate location, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.

A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be included in the compensation package, along with the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the level and position offered.
