Sr Finance Analyst

Role Overview

This position is for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis professional based in Gurugram, India. The role sits within a hybrid working model and supports business leaders with financial insight, planning, operational finance, reporting, and control activities. The role also involves working across business partnering, accounting support, automation, and audit-related matters.

Business Partnering

• Lead greenfield and transition initiatives by assessing financial feasibility, carrying out due diligence, and modeling multiple scenarios for rental, facility, incentives, compliance, and SAP setup considerations.
• Own the monthly business pulse, forecast cycles, estimates, and annual operating plan reviews, while keeping actuals aligned with plan.
• Track deviations from plan and work with the business to address delays, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities.
• Support productivity and cost-reduction initiatives with business teams.
• Contribute to capital project reviews for expansions and upgrades, including feasibility checks, proposal review, capex monitoring, and capitalization follow-up.
• Review operational finance items such as open purchase orders, burden projects, unbilled hours, and unbilled expenses.
• Evaluate billing rates regularly and recommend true-up or true-down actions through credit notes or debit notes where needed.
• Support FP&A activities for HPS GES business leaders in India and Uzbekistan, including engineering hours analysis, efficiency tracking, passback, cost per headcount, expense detail support, cost center hierarchies, payroll versus census review, SOW cost checks, and reconciliation of hours and headcount.
• Take ownership of P&L, perform variance analysis, and manage period-close activities to ensure finance operations are accurate and timely.
• Monitor working capital and follow up with intercompany customers to recover overdue accounts receivable.
• Assist with corporate, statutory, cost, and GST audit requests and clarifications.
• Support automation and digitization efforts involving cross-company billing, SAP operations, EDW and Tableau dashboards, Digital Finance, and FDS.
• Prepare management reporting and review packs such as MOR/MBR files covering employee costs, total costs, cost per hour, passback, revenue, and outstanding receivables.

FP&A and Accounting Support

The role combines financial planning, analysis, reporting, and accounting-related oversight, with an emphasis on accurate business reporting, cost control, and operational finance support.

Automation and Reporting

A key part of the role is improving reporting efficiency through process automation, dashboarding, and better use of finance systems and tools.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of professional finance experience.
• Professional education in Finance such as CA, MBA, or CMA.
• Practical, hands-on experience with SAP FICO and production modules.
• Working knowledge of Hyperion HFM and Essbase (FDS) is required.

Work Location and Model

The position is based in Gurgaon, India. The working arrangement is hybrid, with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home. The job band is Band 3.
