Job description

Role Overview

Honeywell is looking for a Senior Supply Planner to support supply planning and material coordination activities in Haryana, India. This role focuses on managing planning execution, inventory control, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to help meet service, cost, and inventory goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with customers and suppliers across different time zones.
  • Use SAP MM effectively and apply hands-on experience with Rapid Response (Kinaxis) supply planning tools.
  • Conduct monthly SIOP supply planning reviews.
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors on time and track order confirmations.
  • Work with vendors to monitor actual delivery progress and speed up urgent orders when needed.
  • Handle drop shipment activities from a logistics standpoint.
  • Complete Open Purchase Order and shortage reports within the expected timeline for review.
  • Support service-level and inventory-target achievement for assigned products through planning metrics.
  • Work closely with SIOP, Customer Support, Sourcing, and Logistics teams.
  • Maintain material master data and reporting metrics accurately.
  • Spot opportunities to improve planning execution and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze root causes and help resolve service-related issues quickly.
  • Create tailored reports to evaluate processes and identify improvement areas.
  • Manage inventory review and control activities.
  • Use SAP ERP MM, BI Portal, Power BI, and Tableau for planning and analysis tasks.
  • Prepare clear Excel workbooks and presentations for business reviews.
  • Support import and local procurement activities in a buy-to-sell setup.
  • Track material management measures such as OTTR, OTFP, inventory DOS, and ITR.
  • Apply PFEP and 12 Blockers knowledge in planning and inventory management.
  • Create liquidation plans for IOS inventory after discussions with SIOP, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Improve inventory levels while still meeting project and customer delivery needs.
  • Drive the implementation of the site/DC Plan For Every Part process.
  • Define stocking and replenishment approaches, including push vs. pull strategies, to support maximum service with minimum inventory and annual operating plan goals.
  • Partner with procurement to address supply constraints for critical parts and recommend practical solutions.
  • Solve material and supply issues independently where possible, ensuring required materials are available in stock.
  • Take part in or lead continuous improvement and kaizen initiatives.
  • Continuously refine material management processes to improve business outcomes.
  • Work with procurement teams to resolve material shortages and supply issues.
  • Coordinate engineering change activities with procurement teams and/or Honeywell sites.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in operations management, supply chain management, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in supply planning, operations planning/scheduling, materials management, or a manufacturing materials-related function is needed.
  • Prior experience using SAP is mandatory.
  • Exposure to a Sales and Operations Planning / SIOP environment is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong data analysis capabilities, including Excel proficiency, are required.

Preferred Strengths

  • Working knowledge of planning and procurement systems and related methodologies.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of procurement, sourcing, and logistics processes.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively.
  • Comfort collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
