Job description

Role Overview

Honeywell is looking for a Senior Supply Planner in Gurugram to manage supply planning, material availability, and inventory performance across internal teams, vendors, and customers. The role focuses on ensuring service levels are met while keeping inventory within target, using planning systems, analytics, and cross-functional coordination.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers across different time zones to keep planning and execution aligned.
  • Use SAP MM and Rapid Response (Kinaxis) for supply planning activities.
  • Lead the monthly SIOP supply planning review and support the broader S&OP/SIOP process.
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors on time and follow up for order confirmations.
  • Track vendor deliveries, chase critical orders, and address supply delays proactively.
  • Handle drop shipment activity from the logistics side.
  • Prepare open purchase order and shortage reports within the required timelines for review.
  • Maintain service levels and inventory targets for assigned products, measured through planning metrics.
  • Coordinate closely with SIOP, Customer Support, Sourcing, and Logistics teams.
  • Maintain the material master database and report performance metrics accurately.
  • Spot operational gaps, suggest improvements, and implement better planning practices.
  • Perform root cause analysis to resolve service issues and recurring supply problems.
  • Create customized reports to analyze processes and support improvement efforts.
  • Manage inventory reviews and overall material flow.
  • Work hands-on with SAP ERP MM, BI Portal, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Use strong Excel and presentation skills to support analysis and reporting.
  • Manage import and local buy-to-sell procurement work with strong practical experience.
  • Track material management metrics such as OTTR, OTFP, Inventory DOS, and ITR.
  • Understand PFEP and 12 Blockers and apply them in planning decisions.
  • Build liquidation plans for IOS inventory in consultation with SIOP, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Improve inventory levels while still supporting project and customer delivery needs.
  • Drive the site/DC Plan For Every Part (PFEP) process.
  • Set stocking and replenishment strategies, including push vs. pull models, to maximize service and minimize inventory within AOP goals.
  • Partner with procurement to solve supply constraints and recommend practical solutions.
  • Independently identify and resolve material issues so supplies stay available and in stock.
  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement and kaizen initiatives.
  • Strengthen material management processes to deliver better business results.
  • Coordinate engineering change activities with procurement and Honeywell sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in operations management, supply chain management, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience in supply planning, operations planning/scheduling, materials management, or a related manufacturing materials function.
  • Practical experience with SAP is mandatory.
  • Background in a sales and operations planning environment is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with clear verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical capability and good working knowledge of Excel.

Preferred Strengths

  • Familiarity with planning and procurement systems and methods.
  • Comfort working as a team player with strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of procurement, sourcing, and logistics.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, multitasking, and delegation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

This role is based in Gurugram, Haryana, India and follows an onsite full-time work setup.
