Role Overview

We are searching for a passionate Sports Trader to join Betr's team, reporting to the VP of Sports Trading. This position plays a crucial role in influencing the company's revenue and market expansion by formulating accurate betting odds using diverse data and overseeing these odds throughout their lifecycle. The role necessitates adaptability to scheduling, including working on weekends and holidays when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sportsbook market risks and liabilities following Betr’s standard operating procedures.
• Price and trade markets in real-time, including live betting, updating lines according to betting activity, news, and game progression.
• Continuously monitor league information such as injuries, lineups, and weather to update markets promptly before and during events.
• Coordinate opening and closing odds with market trends and sharp market fluctuations.
• Oversee liability limits, exposure, and bet acceptance parameters across markets and accounts.
• Analyze daily trading reports to ensure accurate customer and account profiling, hold rates, and key performance metrics.
• Collaborate with operations and technology teams to improve market coverage, latency, and enhance user experience.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in trading within sports betting platforms.
• Strong analytical ability with proficiency in calculating odds.
• Self-driven, proactive problem-solver who stays abreast of industry developments and best practices.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable with fast-paced, dynamic environments and adaptable to changes and ambiguity.
• Effective communicator with outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for internal and external collaboration.
• Highly motivated with the capability to independently drive projects to completion while maintaining high standards.
• Entrepreneurial outlook with excellent organization, flexibility, and prioritization skills.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

• Passion for a broad spectrum of sports.
• Experience working under pressure and handling high-volume betting scenarios.
