Job description
Role Overview
The University of Oxford's Sports Department is seeking a part-time Sports Physiotherapist to contribute to their sports injury and rehabilitation service. This role involves delivering high-quality clinical services including one-on-one consultations and supporting athletes undergoing rehabilitation alongside their strength and conditioning programs. The position demands flexibility for early mornings, evenings, or other unsociable working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation to students, staff, and local community members.
- Collaborate with the wider sports science team and multidisciplinary specialists to support holistic athletic development.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous professional development activities during non-clinical hours.
- Work closely with the Sports Federation team to deliver services via the Blues Performance Scheme for high-performance sports teams and athletes.
- Support services include strength and conditioning, sports psychology, nutrition, and subsidized physiotherapy.
Requirements and Conditions
- The candidate must be able to work part-time, including unsociable hours such as early mornings and evenings.
- The position does not qualify for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under the UK points-based system.
- Collaboration and communication skills for engaging with a multidisciplinary team are essential.
