Job Overview

The Sports Management Intern will support operations involving the complex's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, assist in managing ice contracts, spot rentals, and tournaments, and collaborate with various teams to plan and implement sports programs. Key responsibilities include supporting Sales and Customer Care management to maintain existing contracts, strategizing revenue growth, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience aligned with our standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and updating the CRM system associated with ice contracts, spot rentals, and both third-party and internal tournaments.
  • Under guidance from the Sales and Customer Care Manager, aid in crafting and executing a comprehensive direct sales strategy aimed at driving revenue through targeted sales and marketing efforts.
  • Support the identification and cultivation of new customer relationships while maximizing revenue from current clientele.
  • Contribute to league operations by helping plan and execute activities.
  • Assist in organizing and delivering sports camps and programs alongside the leagues and programs team.
  • Work under managerial supervision to ensure customers receive a top-tier experience, with attention to care and satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Desired Attributes and Experience

  • Prior experience in customer service or office administration.
  • Comfort with adopting new technologies and systems; familiarity with CRM software is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage stress and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, clear communicator, punctual, and articulate.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills paired with a professional and positive demeanor.
  • Capable of handling and resolving challenging situations tactfully.
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational program that includes a co-op component.

Internship Details

  • Term: Fall Semester (September to December 2026).
  • This is an unpaid internship; however, a stipend opportunity is available contingent upon successful completion.
  • Positions are currently open.
