Role Summary and Key Responsibilities
This temporary role spans a 9-month contract with full-time hours and an option for a hybrid work arrangement. The Sponsorship & Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of sponsorship strategies and marketing campaigns for multiple events.
Sponsorship & Partnerships
- Create bespoke sponsorship packages tailored to each event's requirements.
- Identify, pursue, and secure sponsorship opportunities, maintaining a robust pipeline of potential partners.
- Manage sponsor relations from initial onboarding through to event execution and post-event delivery, ensuring contractual obligations, branding, and activations are met across digital, print, and onsite platforms.
- Track sponsorship revenue and performance, continually seeking ways to enhance value and foster lasting partnerships.
Marketing Strategy and Campaign Delivery
- Formulate annual and event-specific marketing strategies aimed at increasing registrations, ticket sales, exhibitor interest, and overall commercial objectives.
- Administer and oversee marketing budgets, strategically allocating resources to maximize campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns for a diverse portfolio including conferences, exhibitions, awards, and networking events.
- Supervise event launches, registration, ticket sales, marketing for exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, attendee engagement, communication, and onsite branding efforts.
Creative Direction & Event Experience
- Drive the creative vision for event branding ensuring consistent visual identity across marketing materials, venues, and all customer touchpoints.
- Develop creative briefs, guide designers, branding agencies, and production suppliers, and approve final artwork for print and digital use.
- Oversee production of all event branding assets including signage, wayfinding, stage graphics, presentations, and digital content.
- Coordinate content programming for event features such as stages and workshops in close partnership with Operations teams.
Content, Communications & Digital Marketing
- Lead production and sign-off of marketing, commercial, and PR collateral including press releases, brochures, advertisements, and sales materials.
- Provide strategic oversight and support for digital marketing copy and communications, ensuring brand consistency and effective messaging.
- Guide and collaborate with the Digital Marketing Team to align digital activities with overall marketing strategies and brand guidelines.
- Evaluate digital campaign performance and recommend optimization strategies.
PR, Media & Stakeholder Management
- Develop PR plans, leverage media opportunities, and supervise campaigns executed by external PR agencies.
- Manage relationships with PR agencies, media partners, industry organizations, government bodies, and commercial allies.
- Ensure marketing activities are closely integrated with event operations and logistics through strong internal collaboration.
Project Management & Reporting
- Simultaneously oversee multiple marketing projects and campaigns, managing approvals, supplier coordination, and production timelines.
- Monitor marketing performance across channels including website traffic, email, social media, sales, lead generation, and sponsorship returns.
- Generate detailed reports, post-event analyses, and strategic recommendations to guide future marketing efforts.
Skills and Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in event marketing, sponsorship, or exhibition management.
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Proven track record in securing and managing sponsorships or commercial partnerships.
- Experience leading creative production for event branding, from concept development through final approval.
- Competence in briefing and supervising designers, agencies, and production teams.
- Strong project management skills managing multiple stakeholders and external vendors simultaneously.
- Proficient in managing marketing budgets and analyzing campaign performance metrics.
- Excellent skills in copywriting, communication, and stakeholder relationship management.
