About the Role
The Change Maker position is a crucial role aimed at fostering transformative growth among youth and communities served by SGBS Unnati Foundation. The individual will play a vital part in driving positive changes by enrolling youth, guiding them through training, motivating them to seize new opportunities, and encouraging them to be future change agents.
A group of 3-4 Change Makers collaboratively manage the Centre’s daily operations, including administrative setups, coordinating with headquarters for enrolments and placements, delivering youth training sessions, and maintaining engagement with alumni to cultivate meaningful relationships. The role demands someone passionate about youth empowerment, committed, self-driven, empathetic, and solution-oriented to thrive in this dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training programs following the curriculum provided by Senior Change Makers ensuring clear understanding and effective delivery.
- Maintain student discipline, encourage active participation, and provide additional support to those needing help.
- Coordinate with headquarters, counselors, and placement officers to meet program timelines and facilitate successful student placements.
- Perform community outreach to identify and enroll suitable youth into the program and engage with parents or guardians to explain program details and placement procedures.
- Participate in community events, collaborate with partner NGOs, and work towards enhancing organizational credibility.
- Maintain connections with alumni through regular visits and assessments at 90, 180, and 365 days to evaluate development and secure program referrals.
- Lead administrative functions, including acting as assembly anchor, overseeing expense management, liaising with departments to address operational issues, and ensuring smooth Centre operations.
- Document and share social impact and success stories for organizational use, including social media engagement and promotion.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in any discipline.
- Experience: Between 0 to 2 years in private or development sectors.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and the local language.
- Competencies:
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Strong teamwork and coordination skills.
- Effective facilitation and training capability.
- Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of tally and fundamental accounting.
