Established in 2011, SGBS Unnati Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth through a transformational 50-day training program focused on enabling them to learn, earn, and achieve economic independence. With flagship initiatives such as Unnati and UNXT, we aim to expand our reach to vulnerable and underserved regions by leveraging local talent and technology.
Role Overview
The Community Change Agent (CCA) plays a pivotal role in fostering community engagement and driving youth enrollment into Unnati programs. This position demands building awareness, credibility, and strong local networks to source candidates while coordinating with a team of Change Makers to convert leads into successful enrollments. The position requires dynamic outreach, persuasion of youth and parents, and continual collaboration to maintain an effective and autonomous Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute outreach initiatives within the community to mobilize youth, organizing activities across split shifts (3 hours in morning and evening) to optimize participation.
- Establish and maintain local partnerships with colleges, training centers, and community events to generate demand and referrals for the Unnati training program.
- Host parent meetings to inform about program details and post-training placement opportunities.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive database of prospective students and alumni.
- Work closely with Change Makers to convert at least 25 student enrollments per batch from a minimum of 60 quality leads weekly.
- Attend regular team meetings to update on community outreach progress and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Manage communication materials efficiently, ordering supplies based on upcoming activities.
- Coordinate community guest speakers for events such as the program Valediction.
- Visit the Centre daily to support operational activities and facilitate Change Makers.
- Document and share success stories highlighting program impact for organizational channels and social media engagement.
- Ensure dissemination of official social media content within your networks.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Completion of 10th or 12th grade.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years in private or development sectors.
- Language proficiency in English and local languages.
- Essential skills include strong communication, teamwork, negotiation, coordination, problem-solving, adaptability, and community understanding.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary up to 15,000 INR per month
- Additional travel allowance of 2,500 INR monthly
- Performance incentives applicable for enrollments exceeding eight admissions per batch
