About the Role

The company is hiring a Specialist, US Payroll to support its payroll and accounting operations. This role sits within a fast-moving finance environment and requires a detail-focused team contributor who can help manage payroll activities across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. The position is based in Pune and operates during the 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and support daily payroll operations for the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
  • Contribute to payroll projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Run accurate bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles for exempt and non-exempt employees using ADP GV, Workday, and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Carry out payroll reconciliation for semi-monthly and bi-weekly runs to confirm input accuracy.
  • Support time and attendance activities for hourly employees.
  • Manage stock-related payroll items such as RSUs, ESPP wage reporting, and similar transactions.
  • Review payroll-impacting employee changes including new hires, exits, status changes, tax updates, deductions, rate changes, retro adjustments, and special pay.
  • Process and reconcile deductions such as 401(k) and flexible spending arrangements.
  • Validate data between Workday and payroll systems.
  • Coordinate payroll-related information with ADP.
  • Handle ESPP validations, enrollments, and modifications.
  • Research and configure new tax jurisdictions when required for payroll tax filing.
  • Ensure quarterly and annual payroll tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders supporting equity administration, including legal and People teams.
  • Prepare payroll journal entries in the general ledger.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of payroll accounts.
  • Respond to employee payroll questions with clear, prompt, and professional service.
  • Support year-end payroll work and payroll analysis.
  • Assist with additional projects as needed.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of experience in AMER payroll operations within an in-house, high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Prior exposure to Canada, Mexico, and Brazil payroll is preferred.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with ADP Global View (SAP).
  • Working knowledge of integrations between Workday and payroll platforms.
  • Understanding of outbound interfaces from payroll systems.
  • Strong grasp of payroll systems, earning and deduction codes, W-2, W-2C, and general ledger mapping.
  • ADP Ceridian experience is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with federal and state payroll rules and regulations.
  • Experience handling year-end payroll activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly when priorities change.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to support internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and energetic.
  • Preferred familiarity with NetSuite, ADP Workforce Now, ADP Global View, and ADP Ceridian.
  • Self-driven and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.

Shift and Location

The work schedule is from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST. The role is located in Kharadi, Pune.
