Job description

About the Role

Cloudbeds is a hospitality technology company that helps properties in more than 150 countries manage bookings and operations through a unified platform. The organization operates fully remotely and builds AI-enabled solutions for hoteliers around the world.

This position is a customer-facing accounting onboarding and support role focused on European hotel clients. You will help customers and their accounting teams configure financial workflows correctly, from chart-of-accounts mapping and tax setup to ERP connectivity and fiscal compliance. The role blends hospitality knowledge, accounting expertise, technical problem-solving, and direct client communication.

The team works at the junction of hospitality operations and technical delivery, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Support, and Sales to solve real accounting and integration problems for hotel operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support European hotel customers through the full accounting onboarding process, including chart of accounts setup, VAT configuration, revenue recognition, reconciliation processes, and local fiscalization rules.
  • Convert each client’s operating processes, such as night audits, folio handling, accounts receivable, and month-end closing, into a properly configured Cloudbeds environment.
  • Assist with integrations between Cloudbeds and accounting or ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, M3, NetSuite, Sage, and other regional platforms used in Europe.
  • Investigate accounting mismatches, data sync failures, and setup issues with a practical, solution-focused approach.
  • Act as the internal specialist for European hospitality accounting practices and compliance, including country-specific invoicing requirements.
  • Create and improve onboarding guides and best-practice materials for European accounting workflows in hospitality.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to communicate customer feedback and help inform product improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of practical accounting or bookkeeping experience within the European hotel or hospitality sector.
  • Direct experience setting up or supporting integrations between a hotel PMS and accounting or ERP software such as M3, NetSuite, Xero, or Sage, or similar systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of European fiscal compliance, including fiscalization, VAT rules, and country-level invoicing standards.
  • Confident customer communication skills with the ability to speak with hotel clients and their accounting teams over phone and video on a daily basis.
  • Fluency in English and at least one additional European language; Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, or Italian is especially valued.
  • Comfort working in SaaS products and learning new tools quickly with limited guidance.
  • Analytical approach with the ability to trace data flows, spot mapping problems, and resolve integration issues methodically.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on background in hotel operations such as front office, night audit, or revenue management.
  • Exposure to fiscalization rules in multiple European markets, such as Portugal SAF-T, Spain SII, or Italy SDI.
  • Regular use of AI tools or workflow automation in personal or professional work.

Benefits

  • Remote-first working model.
  • Paid time off based on local labor law requirements.
  • Monthly Wellness Fridays for an extended weekend once a month.
  • Fully paid parental leave.
  • Home office stipend based on country of residence.
  • Access to professional development through Cloudbeds University.
  • Training and growth opportunities, including manager development, skill building, and knowledge sharing.
