Role Overview
The Specialist IT Recruiter plays a crucial role within our technology verticals, collaborating with worldwide technology leadership teams to identify hiring demands, manage recruitment plans, and implement effective sourcing strategies. This role encompasses end-to-end recruitment for both permanent and contract IT and Engineering positions. Coordination with HR Directors, HR Business Partners, Principals, and Practice Leaders is essential to ensure seamless IT recruitment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to finalize job descriptions and compensation frameworks for open experienced-hire roles.
- Assist hiring managers in forecasting staffing needs, raising requisitions, conducting interviews, and selecting candidates.
- Manage the complete recruitment cycle for IT and Engineering requisitions encompassing full-time and contract roles.
- Engage deeply with hiring managers to thoroughly understand role requirements and strategically plan recruitment activities, adhering to service level agreements.
- Maintain continuous and transparent communication with hiring managers throughout the recruitment phases to avoid surprises.
- Utilize diverse sourcing channels beyond traditional job boards to find suitable profiles.
- Coordinate multiple interview schedules flawlessly between candidates and hiring managers.
- Research and implement the best market recruitment practices within IT staffing.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and negotiating offers.
- Use ATS tools to efficiently manage candidate pipelines and recruitment records.
- Deliver an engaging candidate experience with prompt communications and feedback.
- Monitor and report on recruitment metrics to refine hiring strategies.
- Provide proactive status updates and act as liaison between US and India teams.
- Actively source and attract a diverse pool of candidates through networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
- Generate warm and cold calls to build candidate pipelines and engage prospective hires.
- Present key differentiators of Ryan’s business model, benefits, and compensation to candidates effectively.
- Manage relationships and expectations of experienced hire and executive candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Develop deep knowledge of Ryan’s culture, services, and the assigned practice areas to assess candidate suitability thoroughly.
- Keep updated with industry talent trends and competitor benchmarks through networking and research.
- Ensure accurate and timely use of ATS tools and maintain compliance with legal and firm regulations during recruitment.
- Participate in committees, special projects, and additional recruitment-related tasks.
- Assist with campus recruitment activities when required.
- Be available for occasional travel, approximately 20 to 25% of the time.
- Utilize strong sales and negotiation skills to close offers and communicate the firm’s unique compensation advantages to candidates.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience recruiting technical talent, ideally within a dynamic tech environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of technical roles and related technologies such as Java, Python, AWS, Kubernetes.
- Proven track record sourcing and engaging passive candidates successfully.
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems including Greenhouse, Lever, or Workday.
- Expertise with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, DICE, Indeed, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to manage numerous requisitions and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Data-informed approach, utilizing recruitment metrics to enhance hiring effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
Technical Skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet research is required. Experience in managing ATS software workflows is essential.
Additional Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Limited supervisory duties including training, assigning, and quality checking team member tasks.
- Work environment primarily indoors with occasional extended periods of sitting or standing.
- Frequent interaction across multiple organizational levels and with external stakeholders including vendors and candidates.
- Regular travel obligation of 20 to 25%.
