Job description
Overview
This position involves conducting comprehensive financial, operational, and market evaluations to support the execution, oversight, and enhancement of the Fund's investments across private equity, infrastructure, and other alternative asset classes. Additionally, it encompasses advanced research and analysis pertinent to public market activities aligned with the Fund's strategic and portfolio goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing private market investment strategies while ensuring adherence to investment policies, governance standards, and risk limits.
- Conduct detailed research on public market instruments including equities, bonds, and funds.
- Execute thorough financial analyses utilizing valuation methods like DCF, WACC, CAPM, along with benchmarking and sensitivity analyses.
- Generate data-driven reports and dashboards depicting performance trends, risk assessments, and market forecasts.
- Evaluate potential investment opportunities by analyzing fund managers’ histories, value propositions, and operational frameworks.
- Collaborate with external consultants and due diligence teams to validate investment assumptions and assess deals comprehensively.
- Review and verify custodian reports against investment manager benchmarks and data accuracy, and systematically organize these documents.
- Support capital call processing and forwarding as necessary, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
- Participate in meetings with fund managers and analysts to assess performance and provide economic insights.
- Conduct periodic analyses of portfolio company and fund investment performances using metrics like IRR, TVPI, DPI, and cash flow projections.
- Prepare professional presentations summarizing research outcomes, market trends, and investment insights for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain proficiency in portfolio management systems (e.g., Bloomberg), data extraction, and analysis tools to generate reports and presentations.
- Prepare and present reports for investment committee meetings regularly, meeting approved quality standards and deadlines.
- Keep the investment database updated with current transaction and fund manager information.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Open to fresh graduates; no prior experience required.
- Strong skills in teamwork, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and quality orientation.
