Job Overview

The Director of Assets and Warehouses is responsible for overseeing the management of the Fund's physical assets and inventory, ensuring optimal usage, precise documentation, and compliance with financial and regulatory standards. This position aims to govern asset lifecycles effectively, improve storage and distribution processes, and enforce robust controls to reduce waste and operational risks, thereby promoting asset sustainability and reliable business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procedures for receiving, categorizing, storing, and issuing materials and assets that align with the Fund's policies to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Manage deployment and use of advanced inventory systems including ERP, Warehouse Management Systems, and RFID for accurate real-time inventory tracking.
  • Ensure storage areas are safe, well-organized, and accessible to prevent asset damage, loss, or operational setbacks.
  • Oversee the proper disposal of damaged, expired, or surplus materials following established audit and procedural requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Procurement departments to guarantee compliance with inventory regulations.
  • Conduct regular and surprise audits to confirm operational adherence and report findings directly to senior management.
  • Cultivate a culture emphasizing integrity and fraud prevention among operational teams through enhanced controls and training.
  • Drive the creation of a digital system integrating inventory management with financial, supply chain, and logistics platforms.
  • Lead initiatives for ongoing process improvements, standardization, and digital transformation to increase operational efficiency.
  • Incorporate field team insights to refine policies and ensure their practical effectiveness.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts related to supply, returns, or discrepancies by working with Procurement and Finance teams.
  • Enhance cooperation with end-users to optimize material use and meet operational demands.
  • Promote continuous learning via workshops and training sessions for team development.
  • Facilitate transfer of knowledge and best practices to standardize procedures and improve team performance.
  • Stay current with global inventory management methodologies such as Just-In-Time (JIT) and Activity-Based Costing (ABC) for potential application.
  • Support organizational transformation efforts through process simplification and standardization.
  • Improve integration between the Assets & Warehouses function and other departments to streamline operations and transparency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or supply chain management.
  • Proficient in employee empowerment, leadership, administrative support, logistics management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
