Overview

As a Specialist in General Accounting at Environment Fund in Riyadh, you will be responsible for efficiently executing accounting functions to ensure accurate recording and processing of all financial transactions in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role supports the preparation of detailed financial reports, assisting leadership in informed decision-making and maintaining compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly and quarterly closing tasks concerning payroll expenses and accruals alongside business units, ensuring precise journal entries and timely ledger updates.
  • Manage daily operations of general and subsidiary ledgers by recording, validating, and reconciling transactions to uphold data integrity.
  • Compile and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, adhering strictly to IPSAS, IFRS, and Environment Fund standards.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial information that aids in budgeting, performance tracking, and strategic planning.
  • Conduct variance analysis to detect anomalies and recommend solutions for accounting accuracy enhancement.
  • Spot risks, control deficiencies, or process gaps in accounting functions, escalating findings with suggestions for corrective action.
  • Advise improvements in accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance financial governance.
  • Collaborate with finance teams, auditors, and related departments to ensure consistency and clarity in financial reporting.
  • Communicate professionally with stakeholders by explaining financial outcomes and adjustments clearly.
  • Support both internal and external audit processes by preparing and organizing necessary documentation thoroughly.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Open to fresh graduates with no mandatory prior experience.
  • Essential competencies include teamwork, problem-solving abilities, stakeholder engagement, quality focus, decisive judgments, proficiency in accounting standards and practices, and management of financial accounts.
