About the Role
Our client, a globally active, family-oriented industrial company and a recognized technology leader in climate technology, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist (m/f/d) in the Leipzig/Halle area. You will independently handle the monthly payroll for a defined group of employees and manage all related follow-up tasks.
Main Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll autonomously for designated employees including subsequent activities
- Maintain and review payroll-relevant master and time data in SAP HCM ensuring reliable data quality
- Manage personnel administrative procedures and generate reports, notifications, certificates, and statistics
- Provide expert advice to employees, managers, and internal departments on tax, social security, and labor law matters
- Act as primary contact for payroll-related inquiries and coordinate with health insurance providers, authorities, and other external parties
- Implement legal and internal updates into existing payroll processes reliably
- Contribute payroll expertise to special topics and HR projects, supporting further development and digitization of processes
Candidate Profile
- Completed commercial training, ideally with a focus on human resources or additional payroll qualification
- Several years of professional experience conducting independent payroll accounting including all associated processes
- Confident use of SAP HCM; knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central is advantageous
- Strong understanding of tax, social security, and labor law
- Fluency in German is required; good English skills are beneficial
- Precise, structured, and independent work style paired with strong sense of responsibility
- Service-oriented, team player, discreet with reliable communication skills
