Role Overview
Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a proactive Media Relations Specialist to join its communications function in Riyadh. The role centers on building strong media partnerships, managing press activity, and helping share Qiddiya’s key updates and stories across media channels. This position plays an important part in strengthening the brand’s reputation and public visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain productive relationships with journalists, media houses, and influencers across local and regional markets to help generate favorable coverage.
- Plan and coordinate interviews, press briefings, and media events so that company news and initiatives are communicated effectively.
- Create and circulate press releases, media kits, and related communication content to keep messaging consistent and clear.
- Track media coverage and compile reports that assess sentiment, reach, and the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
- Handle media queries quickly and professionally while ensuring all responses remain accurate and aligned with company policy.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders in marketing, digital, and corporate communications to ensure media plans support wider communication goals.
- Assist with crisis communications when required, coordinating with the relevant teams to manage messaging carefully.
- Keep up with evolving media trends and industry best practices to improve engagement and outreach opportunities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a closely related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications.
- Proven ability to maintain media contacts and achieve positive press coverage.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; Arabic skills are an added advantage.
- Good organizational ability with the capacity to manage several media activities at the same time.
- Experience reviewing media coverage and producing analytical reports.
- Professional handling of media requests and the ability to provide accurate information under time pressure.
- Exposure to the entertainment or leisure sector will be considered beneficial.
