About the Role
This full-time Specialist position in Population Health Research is based in Qatar with Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar. The role involves managing and supporting diverse population health research projects throughout their life cycles, encompassing study design, data collection, data analysis, and reporting. The candidate will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in all phases of population health research from project conception to final delivery, ensuring deadlines and goals are met.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and orienting personnel at research and related sites as needed.
- Meet regularly with project collaborators, research teams, and constituents to gather requirements and escalate concerns.
- Coordinate communication and cooperation across institutions such as Hamad Medical Corporation, Ministry of Public Health, Primary Health Care Centers, and IRB within Qatar.
- Perform population health research activities following proper methodologies and research protocols.
- Analyze and interpret collected data to generate findings.
- Compose research reports, scholarly articles, social media pieces, and newsletters as directed.
- Support or facilitate IPH and medical education initiatives supervised by IPH leadership.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students and team members as required.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Medical Degree (MD or MBBS) accompanied by a Master's in Public Health or a PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent disciplines.
- A minimum of three to five years of relevant research experience in Qatar or a similar setting.
- Demonstrated experience in medical or scientific writing, with publications in peer-reviewed journals, reports, or recognized platforms.
Skills and Competencies
- Sound understanding of population health research methodologies and design.
- Competence in managing research projects effectively.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational abilities and interpersonal skills for collaborating with varied stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

- Working days: Sunday through Thursday
