Role Overview

The Specialist, Early Careers role is a pivotal position within our talent acquisition framework, primarily focused on cultivating and leading initiatives for emerging talent in Mauritius. This position acts as both a program leader and brand ambassador, fostering strong university partnerships and nurturing a vibrant, dynamic talent pipeline across the island and the broader APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal representative of Checkout.com's NextGen brand within the Mauritius market, enhancing our appeal among ambitious students and graduates through innovative events and engagement strategies.
• Develop and sustain meaningful, long-term collaborations with universities, including faculty and career centers, going beyond mere event attendance to build deep educational alliances.
• Construct and maintain diversified talent pipelines spanning Mauritius and APAC to source high-quality candidates for early career programs.
• Design and implement effective recruitment strategies that encompass comprehensive assessment centers and ensure a positive candidate experience.
• Oversee the entire early career program lifecycle, from application to completion, ensuring smooth operation and participant satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with hiring managers, equipping them with necessary tools and training for effective mentorship and management of early career talent.
• Coordinate with global Early Careers teams, notably the program manager in London, to align local initiatives with global standards while tailoring approaches to regional needs.
