Job description

Job Overview

This role involves conducting audits of the Finance and Treasury functions within the FAB Group, including activities across UAE and international subsidiaries. The candidate must understand the financial business relationships, control frameworks, risk management, and regulatory environments relevant to FAB's operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in auditing finance and treasury functions and related activities in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure audits follow annual plans and complete work efficiently and on schedule, reporting delays to the Head of Audit.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and uphold organizational values and ethics.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Adhere to established internal audit policies and contribute to improving practices aligned with industry standards.
  • Maintain the Audit Universe by reviewing all finance and treasury unit activities across jurisdictions and coordinate with related teams for comprehensive coverage.
  • Support supervisors in risk assessment and audit program maintenance.
  • Conduct evaluations of governance, risk management, controls, data integrity, resource use, and asset protection within finance and treasury processes.
  • Prepare audit documentation and assist in negotiating management action plans for identified issues.
  • Identify process improvements based on global standards and business changes.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide governance, risk management, and control advice to finance units.
  • Follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Assist in special investigations and ensure timely, accurate functional reporting compliant with group standards.
  • Plan, execute, and complete audits focusing on high-risk areas, adhering to GIA, IIA standards, and best practices.
  • Promptly report fraud, theft, or financial loss to senior management.
  • Use electronic tools and audit methodology to gather and analyze evidence and communicate findings professionally.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting.
  • International certification in Banking & Finance (Foundation, Intermediate, and Risk specialization).
  • Solid understanding of finance and treasury processes and associated risks.
  • Familiarity with banking, audit policies, procedures, and Central Bank regulations where applicable.
  • Self-motivated with strong multitasking abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
