About the role

MGM Resorts International is looking for a Special Events Coordinator to help deliver memorable experiences for both internal teams and outside guests. This role sits at the center of hospitality, creativity, and precise execution, supporting corporate, social, and property events that are designed to impress while staying on schedule and within budget.

Starting rate: $20

What you'll do

  • Support the planning and delivery of property casino events, including shaping event concepts and themes, handling creative development for invitations and collateral, and following established best practices.
  • Work with corporate and property teams on entertainment, décor, and theme development for Chinese New Year Galas.
  • Coordinate event work before, during, and after production under the guidance of the Special Events Manager, including setup, placement, and removal of signs, décor, and other event materials.
  • Exchange information with different properties and departments through internal memos and related communications to keep event tasks moving and improve processes.
  • Liaise with vendors to arrange entertainment and event services such as models, emcees, bands, DJs, photography, gifts, décor, linens, uniforms, transportation, talent fees, contracts, and bids.
  • Share timely feedback and updates on event marketing efforts between Casino Marketing, property Special Events teams, and brand marketing/creative services.
  • Help roll out enterprise standards aligned with the approved efficiencies from the Events Center of Excellence.
  • Keep the marketing portal current with event details such as criteria, event schedules, prize structures, and earning criteria.

Requirements

  • You must be at least 21 years old.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • You should bring at least 2 years of relevant experience in guest experience or event planning.
