Job description
About the Role
Overtime is seeking a highly imaginative social-first creator who can turn ideas into engaging graphics, video, and original content. The role is centered on producing standout social graphics, while also handling shooting, editing, and publishing content for fast-moving social channels.
You will support Overtime’s leagues, franchises, athletes, events, and partner initiatives through compelling visual storytelling. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who blends design, editing, and production skills, and who is deeply interested in sports, internet culture, and social media.
Key Responsibilities
Social graphics
- Create eye-catching graphics for leagues, franchises, major events, athlete storytelling, and partner campaigns.
- Develop social-ready assets such as stat cards, schedules, rankings, announcement posts, highlight graphics, memes, carousel posts, branded creative, and marketing visuals.
- Ensure every design feels native to the platform and is optimized to drive engagement while maintaining a consistently high visual standard.
Content production
- Capture, edit, and publish original content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, and other emerging platforms.
- Take projects from idea to final delivery, including concepting, scripting, shooting, editing, graphic creation, and publishing support.
- Edit a large volume of short-form content, including highlights, behind-the-scenes clips, interviews, mic’d-up moments, podcasts, branded pieces, and event coverage.
Creative development
- Bring forward fresh concepts, social formats, and content ideas designed to spark engagement and conversation.
- Keep up with social trends, platform changes, athlete storylines, and broader internet culture.
- Partner with social strategists, producers, editors, and league operators to uncover content opportunities.
Quality control
- Check content carefully before it goes live to confirm accuracy, consistency, and polish.
- Pay close attention to the details, from copy accuracy and spelling to visual execution and final video delivery.
- Help uphold and evolve Overtime’s creative standards across all platforms.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience creating content for social platforms, ideally in sports, media, entertainment, or creator-led environments.
- Strong graphic design ability backed by a portfolio of social-first work.
- Solid grasp of visual storytelling, typography, layout, and design made for specific platforms.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and the broader Adobe Creative Suite.
- Comfort editing short-form video in Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, or similar tools.
- Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, and other social platforms.
- Ability to think creatively and execute quickly.
- Strong interest in sports, online culture, and trending social content.
- Careful eye for detail and strong quality-control habits.
- Self-driven and able to juggle several projects in a fast-moving environment.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, positive, and open to learning.
Bonus Experience
- Motion graphics experience, especially with After Effects.
- Photography or camera-handling experience.
- Experience working on live sporting events.
- History of making viral social graphics and short-form content.
- Exposure to athlete storytelling, sports media, or creator-led content.
