Overview
The Social Media Specialist serves as the brand's key voice across various social networking platforms, primarily responsible for managing community interactions and engagement. Collaborating closely with the Social Media Manager, this role helps deliver and implement strategies for social content, community engagement, and creator partnerships to foster deeper connections between consumers and the company's products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and scheduling of content calendars in coordination with the Social Media Manager.
- Manage community interactions on social media, addressing customer concerns appropriately and recognizing brand advocates proactively.
- Utilize social listening tools to track brand-related conversations, engage with followers, and provide insightful reports on trends and community feedback.
- Identify and capitalize on timely trending topics relevant to the brand to support real-time content creation and campaigns.
- Devise strategies to encourage active brand dialogues with advocates and target communities.
- Assist in organizing media releases, contests, and unexpected engagement activities to delight consumers.
- Support the formulation of comprehensive social media content strategies, channel planning, creative ideation, influencer collaborations, and campaign execution under Social Media Manager guidance.
- Compile and analyze performance reports covering community interaction metrics, content impact, and social listening data.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or an affiliated field.
- Mandatory: 2-3 years of professional experience in social media management.
- Preferably, 2-3 years of background in media, communications, marketing, or similar areas.
- Required proficiency with social analytics and listening platforms.
- Experience within retail, restaurant, food, or beverage sectors is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Solid practical understanding of major social media channels, their functions, related tools, and best practices for diverse campaign scenarios.
- Capacity to seamlessly balance creativity and data-driven analysis.
- Proven creativity with a strong presence and familiarity in social media environments.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills to effectively convey the brand's voice with creativity and wit.
Additional Information
- Expected to travel approximately 15% annually for work-related activities.
