Role overview
financecanada.ca is looking for a Social Media Manager to shape and grow its online presence as the company prepares for launch. The platform aims to be Canada’s independent financial guide, offering calculators, rate comparisons, access to verified local professionals, and editorial resources without bank ownership, referral fees, or affiliate influence.
This role is for someone who can help define the brand voice and expand engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, and other emerging channels as the business scales.
What you will handle
- Own the brand’s LinkedIn presence and manage the posting calendar.
- Support community growth and engagement during the launch phase.
- Turn financial education material into social content that is clear, compelling, and easy to share.
- Help establish the company’s voice on additional platforms as the audience grows.
What the team is looking for
- Good judgement on the kind of social content that resonates in financial and fintech spaces.
- Strong writing ability with a preference for straightforward, confident, jargon-free communication.
- Comfort working alone and taking initiative in a fast-moving startup setting.
- Interest in Canadian personal finance, real estate, or fintech is a plus.
Work setup
