Job description
Role overview
This position is for a Social Media Manager who will own the strategy, content pipeline, and day-to-day management of TikTok and Instagram profiles. The work blends personal branding, short-form video production, and organic growth.
The person in this role will take the client’s raw ideas and shape them into polished, premium content. The goal is to build a credibility-first, education-led presence from the beginning and help attract the right audience naturally.
About the client
The client is a life insurance agent whose focus is on family protection and benefits for union members. The brand is intended to feel exclusive and high-end, more like a private, members-only community than a broad public page. It should prioritize education and trust, with the aim of creating a polished profile that brings in organic interest and referral opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Create and own a full social media strategy for TikTok and Instagram, starting from scratch.
- Set the main content themes, brand direction, and a regular posting schedule.
- Convert the client’s ideas into refined short-form content.
- Handle content creation and editing end to end, including Reels, TikToks, Shorts, captions, graphics, and written copy.
- Lead the personal rebrand so the presence feels unified, premium, and education-focused.
- Develop content that explains life insurance, family protection, and generational wealth in a clear, approachable, and non-salesy style.
- Increase organic reach to generate interest, community engagement, and referrals.
- Monitor engagement, share performance updates, and keep improving the content approach.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience growing TikTok and Instagram accounts, supported by a portfolio and measurable outcomes.
- Strong capability in short-form video work, including concepting, guiding filming, and editing.
- Good skills in graphic design, caption writing, and copywriting.
- Experience building personal brands or founder-led brands, including rebrand projects.
- An eye for refined, premium visuals that feel curated rather than generic or corporate.
- Ability to simplify complex or educational topics into engaging content; familiarity with finance or insurance is an advantage.
- A growth approach centered on organic engagement, community building, and referrals rather than paid advertising.
- Flexible, self-driven, and collaborative, with the ability to take direction and execute independently.
- Availability during EST working hours.
