About the Role

The California Post is launching a Social Media Manager position focused on Page Six Hollywood to expand its presence in California. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Audience Development, will drive the social media strategy to enhance engagement and brand visibility of Page Six Hollywood content. You will collaborate across editorial, video, design, marketing, and product teams to ensure a visually cohesive and impactful social media presence for our followers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the Page Six Hollywood social media strategy to increase brand awareness and promote newsletter subscriptions.
• Oversee production of social creator videos highlighting newsletters, podcasts, and staff social profiles.
• Partner with audience development, video, and editorial teams to deploy innovative social campaigns across platforms, aligning with brand objectives and boosting engagement.
• Analyze social media and campaign data to shape strategic decisions and maintain accurate reporting for ongoing and special events.
• Manage social campaigns across networks like Meta and TikTok with a focus on return on investment.
• Respond promptly to social media inquiries from sales and branded content departments.
• Collaborate closely with editorial, video, design, marketing, and product teams to synchronize visual content with brand initiatives.
• Drive innovation in content formats by experimenting with engaging graphics and video presentations that showcase Page Six Hollywood.
• Stay current with social media technologies, platform algorithms, and best practices to adapt strategies accordingly.
• Monitor and report on internet trends relevant to the entertainment sector.
• Create timely, trend-inspired content designed to actively engage the target audience.
• Effectively communicate concepts and strategies to both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years managing multiple social media accounts for major publishers or brands.
• Strong background in organic marketing and campaign execution; paid marketing experience is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of both current and emerging digital media trends and social platforms.
• Proven capacity to devise strategic social media plans aimed at driving subscription growth.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
• Expertise in interpreting social media metrics and utilizing data to refine engagement strategies.
• Familiarity with tools including Adobe Suite and Meta Business Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and copyediting skills, with photo and video editing capabilities.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Additional Information

This full-time, onsite role requires presence in the office in Pico Rivera, CA, from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST. The position's responsibilities might evolve with strategic needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and other relevant factors. Bonus targets and comprehensive benefits packages—including health, retirement, and wellness programs—are available to eligible employees.
