Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Social Media Manager who will own the company’s social media direction while also contributing directly to content production. This is a leadership role that keeps the social team running smoothly, involves people management, and requires close coordination with senior leadership. The person in this role will also appear on camera and help serve as a recognizable face of the brand across social channels.

Why This Role Is Important

Social media is one of the most powerful growth channels for the business. The right hire will help increase engagement, grow the audience, strengthen brand visibility, and deliver on ambitious growth goals. This position is central to brainstorming, producing, and scheduling content that supports the broader marketing strategy.

Core Responsibilities

You will lead day-to-day social operations, shape the content strategy, and help drive execution across multiple platforms. The role includes team coordination, content planning, trend monitoring, influencer collaboration, event coverage, reporting, and cross-functional partnership.

Content Strategy and Creation

  • Supervise a small social team so content remains consistent and aligned across TikTok, Instagram, X/Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Produce engaging, UGC-inspired content that matches the brand voice and includes on-camera appearances for social videos.
  • Push growth in engagement, audience reach, and overall brand presence.
  • Develop and execute social-first brand awareness initiatives and strategy.
  • Track emerging trends and viral formats to keep content timely and relevant.
  • Rapidly respond to trending moments with original content and community engagement.
  • Maintain a reliable posting and content calendar.
  • Write or oversee social copy for major channels.
  • Use creation tools such as CapCut and Canva to build content assets.

Community, Reporting, and Team Leadership

  • Review social performance data and create reports on channel results.
  • Lead, encourage, and guide the team toward creative, high-quality output.

Influencer and Partner Coordination

  • Work with photographers, videographers, creators, influencers, agencies, vendors, and internal partners to deliver productions and activations successfully.
  • Handle influencer participation and execution, including scheduling talent, managing deliverables, securing approvals, and coordinating event logistics.

Productions, Activations, and Events

  • Plan and execute social shoots, campaign content sessions, lifestyle productions, and brand activations that support marketing and business priorities.
  • Own the social content plan for influencer events, experiential activations, pop-ups, and branded experiences to increase reach and awareness.
  • Direct live social coverage during events, including real-time content capture, storytelling, creator coordination, and audience interaction.
  • Create and manage production timelines, run-of-show documents, shot lists, capture plans, and delivery requirements so projects stay on time and within scope.
  • Use real-time trends, creator opportunities, and viral moments to extend campaign impact and engagement.
  • Coordinate with Brand, Creative, PR, and Marketing teams so all activation content stays aligned with brand and campaign goals.
  • Oversee budgets, production resources, and vendor relationships when needed to support smooth execution.

Analytics and Optimization

  • Track social metrics and prepare performance updates.
  • Review activation and event outcomes, then turn findings into recommendations for future social productions, influencer programs, and experiential work.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Brand, Creative, PR, and Marketing teams to keep messaging consistent and campaigns well executed.
  • Contribute ideas for influencer programs, partnerships, activations, and brand moments across departments.

Mindset and Working Style

The team is looking for more than experience alone. Success in this role also depends on fit with the brand’s approach and pace.

  • You connect with what the organization represents and genuinely believe in the brand.
  • You can recognize and interpret culture as it evolves in real time.
  • You test, measure, and refine the content you create.
  • You use AI as part of your everyday workflow.
  • You think in hooks and attention-grabbing openings.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of current social media platforms and trends.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in social media.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in creative content work.
  • Experience collaborating with UGC creators and influencers.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Background

  • Experience handling social media for lifestyle, entertainment, luxury, or consumer brands.
  • Exposure to influencer marketing platforms, creator partnerships, and experiential campaigns.
  • Basic understanding of paid social campaigns, boosting tactics, and performance measurement.
