About the Role
Join a dynamic Australian fintech company as a Marketing Communications Specialist on a 6-month contract based in Sydney CBD. This hands-on role suits a driven marketing professional who thrives on delivering impactful communications and executing strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise, Marketing & Corporate Affairs, you will be instrumental in shaping and maintaining the organisation's brand across customers, partners, social media, and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging and targeted content for diverse channels such as email, social media, websites, presentations, and campaign materials.
- Craft audience-focused, clear copy that aligns with the brand's tone of voice.
- Support thought leadership efforts by contributing content that enhances brand visibility and market position.
- Optimize content to boost discoverability on both traditional and AI-driven search platforms (GEO/AEO).
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to deliver marketing and communication projects on time and to a high standard.
- Manage and implement campaigns, monitor their effectiveness, and provide actionable feedback to improve future communications.
- Handle event planning and sponsorship coordination, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
- Track earned media coverage and draft media releases; liaise with journalists to secure coverage supporting business objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Energetic, proactive content marketing professional with a strong focus on delivering quality outcomes.
- Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously and motivated by successful campaign launches.
- Proven marketing, communication, or content-related experience totaling 4 to 6 years, preferably within B2B, financial services, or regulated sectors.
- Strong writing skills demonstrated through a portfolio including short-form, social media posts, long-form thought leadership, press releases, and customer communications.
- Experience or familiarity with GEO/AEO and SEO tactics to enhance content visibility; readiness to take ownership of these areas.
- Proficient in managing email communications, digital content calendars, and multiple digital platforms.
- Ability to manage stakeholders across various teams with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach and willingness to engage hands-on.
