Job description
About the company
Showpo is an Australian-founded, globally recognized ecommerce fashion brand built around social media. Launched in Sydney in 2010 from founder and CEO Jane Lu's garage, the business has grown into a major international fashion destination and one of Australia's standout homegrown success stories. The brand places a strong emphasis on empowering women around the world and has become one of Australia's most prominent social-led companies.
Role overview
The Social Media Lead will steer the everyday delivery and refinement of Showpo's social presence, making sure the brand shows up in a polished, native-to-platform way and supports commercial goals at an important stage of growth in the US market. This role manages the social content ecosystem across key channels, shaping strategic content planning, creator and community interaction, and results-focused optimisation. Working alongside Brand, Creative, Ecom and Marketing teams, the role helps social content strengthen the brand identity, build deeper audience relationships, and contribute to business performance while also supporting and coaching junior team members.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the rollout of Showpo's social media strategy so it aligns with wider brand and marketing priorities.
- Guide the production of strong-performing social assets across video, static content, storytelling formats, and reactive content.
- Partner with Brand, Creative, Design, Ecom, and Campaign teams to deliver coordinated social campaigns.
- Track performance across reach, engagement, saves, shares, profile activity, and assisted commercial impact, then turn findings into clear reports and practical improvements.
- Make sure community engagement remains genuine, prompt, and consistent with the brand's tone of voice.
- Contribute to paid social efforts by helping with briefs, aligning creative direction, and monitoring performance.
- Keep up to date with new social trends, platform changes, tools, and creator practices, and bring fresh ideas into execution.
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of social media execution experience in a fast-moving brand setting, with fashion experience preferred.
- A strong grasp of platform-specific content, the factors that drive performance, and social-first storytelling.
- Comfort and confidence appearing on camera, with the ability to present a polished, brand-appropriate presence and contribute to team-led content series.
Perks and benefits
- 50% employee discount, monthly sample sales, a dog-friendly workplace, and discounts at partner spots such as Peaches Pilates studios and the cinema.
- 24/7 GP access through the company's healthcare benefit, including prescriptions and referrals delivered to your phone.
- Access to financial guidance and savings through the Commbank Workplace Banking Program.
- Team social events and recognition initiatives such as Games Night, parties, Friday bubbles, and the “I S**t Rainbow” awards.
- Access to a brekkie bar, EAP mental health support, Showpo Coffee Club, and Showpo Wellness Club.
- Support for The Hunger Project through donations, sample sales, annual edits, and awareness activities.
- Endometriosis friendly workplace accreditation through Endometriosis Australia.
