Senior Executive / Assistant Manager / Manager - Maritime Drone Operations (1-Year Contract)

Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable Maritime Drone Operations Specialist to enhance the operational effectiveness of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). The role focuses on ensuring the safe execution of maritime drone activities closely aligned with port inspection practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate drones to support maritime inspections, improving operational effectiveness and facilitating comprehensive data acquisition.
• Serve as a safety officer during drone flights alongside Port Inspectors, upholding strict adherence to established safety procedures and protocols.
• Perform drone competency evaluations to confirm operator proficiency and compliance with operational benchmarks.
• Lead drone-supported incident response efforts to promptly evaluate and mitigate hazards during emergencies.
• Collaborate on refining drone operational guidelines, enhancing safety measures, readiness, and emergency response capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all drone operations conform to maritime safety standards, relevant regulations, and industry best practices.
• Maintain up-to-date expertise in maritime drone technologies, operational procedures, and effective incident response methods.

Candidate Requirements

• Holder of a certified CAAS UAPL license.
• Demonstrated experience in drone operations, particularly within maritime or inspection settings, is highly advantageous.
• Comprehensive knowledge of drone safety protocols, risk management, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders and enforce safety and operational guidelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail in dynamic and critical environments.
• Availability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays during emergencies, with compensatory time off.
