Job description

About the company

LinkedIn is a global professional network designed to help people and organizations create economic opportunity. Its products are built to support networking, job discovery, skill-building, and access to useful insights. The company also focuses on employee growth and aims to foster a workplace grounded in trust, care, inclusion, and enjoyment.

Role overview

This position is for an Account Director supporting customers in the Staffing and Recruitment space. The role is centered on acting as a strategic partner and reliable advisor, helping clients understand the business value of LinkedIn’s solutions, measuring that value, and strengthening long-term partnerships that drive continued revenue growth. The job is based in a hybrid setup, with work split between home and a LinkedIn office on selected days depending on team needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Influence customer choices by creating a shared direction and highlighting the value that connects all involved parties.
  • Identify opportunities that can expand customer value and support account growth proactively.
  • Study each customer’s business in advance and prepare thoughtful questions and insights before meetings.
  • Use layered, open-ended questioning to uncover customer goals and pain points beyond the obvious details.
  • Adjust communication style and messaging for different stakeholders.
  • Recommend solutions based on business outcomes rather than product features alone.
  • Maintain integrity in the sales process.
  • Use commercial judgment when preparing and negotiating business agreements.
  • Leverage data and insights to support investment recommendations and address objections.
  • Reduce churn risk through a proactive, customer-focused approach.
  • Stay engaged with customers to validate value and refine strategy when needed to improve return on investment.
  • Apply business acumen in account planning by considering economic, industry, and company factors from the customer’s perspective.
  • Map the important stakeholders in each account to gauge relationship strength and shape outreach plans.
  • Share accountability with colleagues and cross-functional partners to drive customer success.
  • Ask for support when facing unfamiliar situations or challenges.
  • Remain disciplined in territory planning, account planning, forecasting, and quota delivery.
  • Use CRM systems and other sales tools according to best practices to manage buyer and sales cycles effectively.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant sales experience.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and forecasting capabilities.
  • Background or knowledge in the recruitment industry.
  • Experience with SaaS opportunities.
  • Experience selling IT solutions.
  • Ability to manage revenue targets and build strategies that deliver results.
  • Proven success in identifying and managing senior-level business opportunities in a consultative sales setting.
  • Ability to use data for decision-making and persuasion.
  • Skill in evaluating business opportunities and understanding prospective buyers.
  • Ability to close deals with a clear understanding of customer needs.
