Role Overview
Lemieux & Associates is hiring an experienced SIU/Claims Investigator for work in Rochester, New York, or nearby areas. This starts as a part-time opportunity and may grow into a full-time role for the right candidate. The company describes itself as a national investigative firm led by owners with extensive field experience and a hands-on management approach.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare thorough and accurate investigation reports.
- Collect written and recorded statements.
- Carry out scene-based investigations.
- Capture clear evidence photos, including accident scenes and vehicle damage.
Experience and Qualifications
Applicants must already have substantial SIU/Claims investigation experience and live in Rochester or the surrounding area. Candidates without SIU/Claims experience should not apply, as this background is required for the role.
- Deep experience handling complex SIU/Claims investigations is required.
- Prior surveillance work as a private investigator is helpful, though not mandatory.
- Being bilingual is considered an advantage.
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is a plus.
- A notary license is an added advantage.
- You should be willing to travel when needed.
- Availability for irregular or changing workdays and hours is important.
- Strong computer and internet proficiency is needed.
- A valid state driver’s license is required.
- You must have dependable transportation, a digital camera, and a computer running Windows, along with Microsoft Word and internet access.
- Work should be submitted on time with strong attention to personal accountability.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers competitive starting pay, with additional pay for travel time and report writing. The stated pay range is $25 to $32. If hired into a full-time position later, benefits would include medical coverage, dental coverage, a 401(k), paid vacation, and paid holidays.

This position is intended for applicants who already meet the SIU/Claims background requirement. The role is based on-site and may transition from part-time to full-time depending on fit and performance.
