Site Manager in Jamaica, NY

About the Role

Gopuff is seeking a highly motivated Site Manager to lead the Field Operations team at our facility in Jamaica, NY. This dynamic, fast-paced leadership position requires a self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on team management and operational excellence. The role involves overseeing local Shift Leaders, Field Operations Associates, and independent Driver Partners to ensure seamless facility functioning and exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of facility operations including deliveries, inventory control, equipment maintenance, and system management.
• Drive improvements on critical performance indicators such as order picking and dwell times, drive time, order defect rates, and cost efficiency per order.
• Train and mentor facility staff to maintain safety and adherence to standard operational procedures.
• Ensure financial targets are met by managing productivity, labor costs, and other expenses within budget.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and legal regulations through regular report analysis.
• Oversee safety protocols, asset protection, and human resources compliance to safeguard personnel and products.
• Develop and execute action plans to enhance performance and cultivate a positive workplace culture.

Required Qualifications

• At least three years of leadership experience in fast-paced environments managing a mix of W2 employees and independent contractors.
• Background in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or comparable sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong conflict resolution and team development capabilities.
• Proficient with computers, email, and Google Suite applications.
• Adaptability to operate in a changing environment and flexibility to work peak hours (5pm to 3am), weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, walk during shifts, and lift up to 49 pounds.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.

Compensation Details

• Salary is determined based on local market conditions and labor cost indexes.
• For the New York, NY location, the expected salary range is $69,000 to $82,800 annually.
• Starting pay varies according to skills, experience, qualifications, and business demands, and may be adjusted over time.
