Role Summary

We invite applications for a full-time Site Health & Safety Coordinator based at our Glorit project location in Auckland, New Zealand. This vital role involves managing daily health and safety operations on site, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting workforce participation, and embedding effective safety methodologies within the project's framework. Applicants should either reside locally or be prepared for daily commuting, as no accommodation is provided.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily health and safety tasks on site aligning with New Zealand's legislative standards, client specifications, and INTEC's HSEQ protocols.
• Keep up-to-date health and safety records, including documentation, reporting systems, inspections, audits, and compliance registers.
• Support and oversee contractor health and safety measures including onboarding processes, inductions, competency verifications, work permits, and safe work procedures.
• Assist in incident management, comprising investigation, corrective action implementation, and reporting on safety performance metrics.
• Drive site safety engagement initiatives such as pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and culture development activities.
• Collaborate with site teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to identify hazards and foster ongoing improvements in safety management.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience in a Health & Safety Coordinator or similar role within construction, infrastructure, civil, electrical, or renewable energy sectors.
• Valid New Zealand Driver's License is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand health and safety laws, WorkSafe standards, and construction safety protocols.
• Capability in managing contractor compliance including inductions, permits, competencies, and safety documentation.
• Excellent organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail and the skill to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic site environment.
• Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills to engage collaboratively with workers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Experience with HSEQ platforms such as HammerTech, Procore, SharePoint, or equivalent is advantageous.
