Core duties and accountabilities

  • Inspect building fabric and carry out checks as directed.
  • Make sure equipment remains serviceable; take damaged items out of use and arrange repair or replacement where needed.
  • Spot faults and damage, then help identify suitable replacements.
  • Perform maintenance inspections and routine checks when requested by the supervisor.
  • Review paperwork and ensure all work follows Sensori’s QEHS policies and procedures.
  • Support the FM team in delivering strong service to the customer, including escorting contractors or Sensori staff when required.
  • Act as a safety spotter for colleagues during high-risk activities.
  • Complete reports and update tasks in the CAFM system.
  • Keep the supervisor informed about progress on site activities.
  • Assist subcontractors when needed.
  • Help with quotation and purchasing queries.
  • Use the CAFM software and keep records accurate and current; full training will be provided.
  • Follow health, safety, environmental, and quality legal requirements.
  • Work toward safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement goals.
  • Take on ad hoc repairs and projects as needed, within your level of competence.
  • Complete any training requested by the line manager and remain open to CPD requirements.
  • Learn the relevant site systems needed to perform the work safely and efficiently.
  • Adapt flexibly to changing site, client, and company needs.
  • Represent the company professionally and maintain a neat appearance.
  • Wear issued uniforms appropriately in an office environment.
  • Look after company tools and plant, and report defects promptly.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues to help the team achieve its goals.
  • Use PPE correctly and report any defects or additional PPE needs.
  • Carry out any other duties required for efficient business operations.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants must have a trade qualification in a building-fabric-related trade such as carpentry, cabinet making, painting, or locksmith work, along with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position. Practical capability in tasks such as door adjustment, lock work, carpet tile replacement, and other general building maintenance work is also required.

Desirable qualifications

An advantage will be given to candidates with a SOLAS Safe Pass, health and safety qualifications such as IOSH or equivalent H&S training, ECDL or similar basic IT certifications such as Microsoft certificates, and basic plumbing or electrical knowledge.

Additional information
