Role overview
The Porter-Mailroom Technician will support the Facilities Management Maintenance Team across several buildings for a commercial client. The position is based in the Sandyford/Leopardstown area and follows an office-environment setting.
Working pattern
This is a 39-hour weekly role, scheduled between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Core duties
- Set up rooms and make alterations when requested by event organisers or the site team.
- Check equipment regularly, keep it in proper working condition, and remove/report anything faulty or damaged.
- Store all equipment safely and securely when it is not in use.
- Carry out inspections and maintenance checks as assigned by a supervisor.
- Review paperwork and ensure all activity complies with Sensori’s QEHS policies and procedures.
- Support the wider FM team in delivering a high-quality service to the client, which may include escorting contractors or Sensori colleagues and acting as a safety spotter during higher-risk work.
- Complete reports and record tasks in the Sensori CAFM system.
- Keep the supervisor informed about the progress of site work.
- Assist subcontractors when needed.
- Help with queries related to quotations and purchasing.
- Use the CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) system and maintain accurate, up-to-date records; full training will be provided.
- Follow health, safety, environmental, and quality legal requirements at all times.
- Contribute to safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement goals.
- Handle occasional ad hoc repairs and projects within personal competence.
- Complete required training promptly and remain open to continuing professional development.
- Learn and work with all relevant site systems required to perform the job safely and efficiently.
- Adapt flexibly to changing site, client, and company needs.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain a neat, tidy appearance.
- Wear issued uniforms appropriately for an office setting.
- Look after company assets such as tools and plant, and report any defects.
- Support teammates in achieving shared goals.
- Use PPE correctly and report any defects or additional PPE needs.
- Perform any other duties needed for the efficient running of the business.
Requirements
- Strong English communication skills, with the ability to complete written reports and update the CAFM system.
- Manual Handling certification or equivalent training.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- SOLAS Safe Pass.
- Health and safety qualifications such as IOSH, or proof of health and safety training.
- Previous experience working on a Moves and Changes (MAC) team.
- ECDL or another basic IT qualification, such as Microsoft certifications.
Additional information
The role requires attention to compliance, accurate record-keeping, safe working practices, and a professional presentation. Training will be provided for the CAFM system and the successful candidate should be prepared to take on relevant site systems as needed.
