The role follows a 39-hour weekly rota, covering shifts between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The Site Supervisor is also responsible for arranging team coverage across those hours.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead and supervise 6 technicians working on site.
  • Ensure all planned maintenance is completed within deadlines and in line with the service level agreement.
  • Support the team with on-site issues and escalate unresolved repairs to the appropriate manager or department.
  • Spot maintenance problems early and take action to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Use the client CAFM system, update tasks proactively, and close work orders accurately; full system training will be provided.
  • Coordinate subcontractors on site while maintaining all health and safety standards.
  • Help with quotation and purchasing-related queries.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) system; training will be provided.
  • Source spare parts and, where needed, obtain supplier pricing to keep systems operating correctly.
  • Follow all health and safety, environmental, and quality legal requirements.
  • Support safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement objectives.
  • Carry out occasional ad hoc projects and repair work as needed.
  • Complete any training requested by management in a timely manner and remain open to continuing professional development.
  • Learn all site systems required to perform the role safely and efficiently.
  • Adapt to changing site, client, and business needs as required.
  • Represent the company professionally and maintain a neat, tidy appearance.
  • Look after company tools and plant, keeping them in safe working order and reporting defects.
  • Carry out non-electrical tasks when needed to support the wider team.
  • Use issued PPE correctly and report any defects or extra PPE needs.
  • Undertake any other duties required to support business efficiency.

Experience and qualifications

Applicants should have at least 5 years of maintenance experience in a similar role and environment, along with a technical background and/or relevant qualification.

Useful additional credentials include SOLAS Safe Pass, Qualified Certifier (QC) or C&G verification certificate, health and safety qualifications such as IOSH or equivalent H&S training, FETAC Level 6 Emergency Lighting commissioner's certificate, RGII registration or qualification, QQI FGAS certificate(s), C&G Portable Appliance Tester Certificate, HV/MV experience or qualifications such as C&G HV AP Certificate, FGAS certification, ECDL or other basic IT qualifications such as Microsoft certifications, and additional engineering qualifications at QQI Level 6, 7, 8 or 9. Qualifications from outside Ireland that are recognised under the Bologna framework may be accepted instead of a QQI-approved qualification. Relevant non-engineering or H&S qualifications recognised by QQI, or equivalent evidence of experience, may also be considered.

A full clean driving licence is required, as travel to other sites within the contract may be necessary.
