Shift Leader at YAAAS TEA - Rockville Centre

Overview

YAAAS TEA is seeking an energetic and experienced Shift Leader to join our team in Rockville Centre. This role involves overseeing daily operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences while managing and guiding our team throughout assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage opening and closing operations of the cafe efficiently.
• Ensure excellent customer service by quickly resolving any issues that arise.
• Train and motivate team members to maintain high standards in beverage and food preparation consistent with YAAAS TEA's quality standards.
• Handle inventory duties, including placing orders, monitoring stock, and conducting inventory checks.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, ensuring the cafe remains clean and welcoming.
• Evaluate sales data and customer trends to identify areas for improvement and develop initiatives to increase sales and customer loyalty.
• Assist the Store Manager with administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, payroll management, and performance monitoring.

Candidate Profile

• Possess at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education in business, hospitality, or related fields is preferred.
• At least 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in food service or retail environments.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate teams and achieve sales and service goals.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers, team members, and management.
• Strong organizational aptitude to juggle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Passion and basic skills in coffee and tea preparation and enthusiasm for serving quality food and beverages.

Working Conditions

• Physically able to stand for long durations and lift items up to 30 pounds in a dynamic and bustling environment.
