Role overview
The Asia Proposals team sits within the wider Regional Payment and Liquidity Sales organization and is focused on improving win rates by producing strong, tailored multi-country, regional, and global proposals on time.
This position is responsible for developing highly customized written proposals and presentations alongside sales partners, while also keeping the proposal and RFP content library current.
The role calls for a seasoned professional who follows industry developments closely and contributes to business direction by applying that knowledge in day-to-day work. It requires recognized expertise in the area, sound commercial judgment, and strong communication and influencing skills, especially when working with internal stakeholders and occasional external clients. The position can materially affect outcomes through complex deliverables and provides guidance related to the business’s technology or operations, with broader impact across the function.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full process for preparing, coordinating, and updating customized responses for RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and pitchbooks, making sure the content is accurate, strategically aligned, client-specific, and delivered by the required deadline.
- Present product and service information clearly, manage multiple review cycles, and revise proposal sections as needed so the final materials remain polished, cohesive, and appropriate for senior decision-makers.
- Work with product teams to create and maintain a strong proposals and RFP repository, ensuring content follows global and regional standards, remains consistent, and reflects the bank’s approved positioning and marketing material.
- Keep up to date with customer expectations and market developments through regular collaboration with sales and product stakeholders.
- Coordinate closely with control partners including Legal, Compliance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to support strong governance and control practices.
- Evaluate transaction risk and reward appropriately when making decisions, with careful attention to the firm’s reputation.
- Follow Citi’s Code of Conduct at all times.
- Apply sound judgment around risk, policy, laws, and regulations; protect the firm, clients, and assets; and escalate, manage, and report control issues transparently.
- Take on additional job-related responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Background in sales support and/or proposal and RFP writing.
- Knowledge of transaction banking and cash management products is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability in communication and project management.
- Comfortable working to deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal ability and the capacity to handle multiple priorities at once.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or an equivalent level of experience.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
