Job description
Role Overview
Based at the Porirua Depot with assignments throughout the wider Wellington region, this position involves reinstating roads, footpaths, berms, and other land areas following water infrastructure projects.
Weekly Wage and Hours
This is a full-time role consisting of 40 hours per week, with pay starting at $26.61 per hour depending on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform reinstatement work on roads, footpaths, berms, and associated areas after water infrastructure works.
- Work competently with concrete and asphalt materials.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
- Maintain a high standard of service delivery to customers.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in asphalting, concreting, or general building and construction.
- Proficiency in operating plant and machinery.
- Hold a full Class 1 driver's license (mandatory), with WTR endorsements or a Class 2 license preferred.
- Comfortable using devices such as iPads or tablets to document work activities.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable and hardworking work ethic.
