About the Role

Tesla is looking for an energetic and organized Service Manager to oversee service operations related to the Tesla Semi truck program. This position focuses on enabling local teams to effectively manage high volumes of Semi truck deliveries and operation support. The role prioritizes fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning to enhance both business efficiency and the customer experience within commercial fleet environments.

Responsibilities

  • Surpass commercial customer expectations by monitoring service trends and improving the overall service quality within the industry.
  • Act as a customer advocate by gathering and promoting feedback to drive improvements upstream in Tesla’s systems.
  • Coach and guide technical teams in their professional and career development.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering to help advance and optimize diagnostic tools and systems.
  • Communicate business priorities clearly, set measurable targets for site performance, and drive accountability to achieve these goals.
  • Monitor and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) for the service team.
  • Plan staffing and schedules to maintain continuous 24/7 market coverage.
  • Develop and expand standard operating procedures to ensure scalable and reliable growth.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, able to effectively engage with stakeholders across different organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in field service, technical repair, or manufacturing within dynamic, technology-focused environments with customer-facing duties.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships across program areas to support an ongoing design and improvement process.
  • Preferred prior leadership roles in service-related industries.
  • Mandatory automotive industry experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required with capability and willingness to obtain and retain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time to Tesla and customer sites.
  • Flexibility to cover any required work shifts.
