Role Summary
The Senior Vice President, Product Strategy is a remote, full-time leadership position responsible for defining the organization’s long-range product direction and guiding the roadmap across the business. The role shapes portfolio strategy, analyzes the market and competition, and ensures product decisions support wider commercial and financial goals.
Key Accountabilities
This leader will work closely with product, finance, marketing, sales, and technology teams to decide investment priorities, build go-to-market plans, and monitor progress against strategic targets. The position also involves assessing new growth opportunities, refining pricing and positioning, and communicating product strategy and business results to executive leadership and other important stakeholders.
In addition, the Senior Vice President will coach product leaders, introduce strong operating practices, and make sure decisions are supported by data, customer understanding, and financially sound judgment.
Qualifications
Successful candidates should bring strong experience in product strategy and product management, with a history of developing and delivering product roadmaps in enterprise or high-growth settings. The role also calls for advanced analytical ability, including market assessment, forecasting, performance tracking, and evidence-based decision-making.
Applicants should have a firm grasp of strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, long-term vision setting, and cross-functional alignment. Financial capability is also important, including familiarity with P&L impact, ROI, pricing models, and building investment cases for product initiatives.
The position requires substantial leadership experience guiding senior product or strategy teams, plus the ability to influence stakeholders across departments. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, especially for executive presentations and partner engagement.
A background in technology-led, product-focused businesses is preferred, and experience in high-growth or transformation environments is a plus. An advanced degree such as an MBA or a master’s in a business or quantitative discipline is preferred, though equivalent experience in product strategy and leadership may also be considered.
