Role Overview
The Senior Vice President of Corporate Development is a high-level executive tasked with driving the organization's long-term expansion through mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, investments, and enterprise development initiatives. This role collaborates closely with the CEO and executive leadership to pinpoint growth opportunities, assess investments, extend market reach, and strengthen competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement corporate development strategies that align with the company's enduring goals.
- Recognize prospects for growth across varied markets, sectors, and business segments.
- Provide guidance to senior leadership on corporate expansion priorities and strategic projects.
- Analyze market trends, competitor landscapes, and business opportunities continuously.
- Support long-term corporate planning and enterprise growth initiatives.
- Oversee mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and joint ventures, including valuation, due diligence, transaction coordination, and post-deal integration.
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic partners, investors, and key industry figures.
- Negotiate and establish strategic alliances and commercial partnerships to foster business growth globally.
- Lead cross-departmental growth projects, exploring new revenue streams, business models, and market expansions.
- Collaborate in the preparation of business cases, investment proposals, and strategic presentations for the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Ensure coordination among finance, legal, operations, product, sales, marketing, technology, and region-specific teams for smooth execution of corporate development activities.
- Mentor senior leaders and nurture emerging leadership talent within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Strategy, or related disciplines.
- Advanced degrees such as an MBA are preferred.
- At least 15 years of advancing leadership experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, consulting, strategy, business development, or executive roles.
- Demonstrated expertise managing intricate strategic initiatives and corporate transactions.
- Exceptional financial analysis, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication skills and adept stakeholder relationship management.
- Proven track record in leading enterprise-scale growth projects.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in investment management, private equity, venture capital, institutional investing, fintech, and technology-driven finance platforms.
- Background with global corporations, multi-regional growth, and cross-border deals.
- Direct involvement with CEOs, Boards, institutional investors, and executive teams.
