About the Role
A distinguished global professional services and technology solutions provider focused on the alternative investment sector is searching for a senior executive to found and expand its strategic partnerships division. The role entails cultivating alliances within the private markets technology ecosystem, spotting commercial collaboration prospects, crafting alliance strategies, and exploring new revenue channels. The candidate will interface with executive stakeholders across commercial, delivery, legal, marketing, and strategy to take partnership programs from ideation to realization.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and map the private markets technology sector to pinpoint promising partnerships.
- Analyze potential collaborators based on market relevance, customer bases, commercial viability, and strategic alignment.
- Maintain and prioritize a pipeline of partnership prospects from initial contact through to execution.
- Establish frameworks to assess and grow ecosystem connections.
- Act as the chief liaison for strategic technology partners, structuring and negotiating commercial agreements encompassing various engagement types.
- Implement partnership agreements that produce tangible business benefits and conduct ongoing business reviews to monitor performance and growth.
- Anticipate and resolve operational and commercial challenges proactively.
- Design strategies and develop new offerings driven by partnerships to foster revenue growth.
- Build financial models, business justification documents, and revenue projections for leadership assessment.
- Create and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate alliance impact.
- Collaborate closely with revenue teams to leverage partnerships into client acquisition and expanded service opportunities.
- Identify potential for cross-selling, offering bundled solutions, and broadening service coverage.
- Coordinate internally with consulting, operations, implementation, legal, compliance, marketing, and commercial units to enable partnership success.
- Track and analyze market trends, competitive moves, and emergent technologies relevant to private markets.
- Offer strategic counsel to senior leadership on ecosystem prospects and growth strategies, including investment or acquisition possibilities.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, business development, or commercial strategy.
- Proven track record of establishing and growing technology-driven partnerships with measurable financial impacts.
- Adept at negotiating multifaceted commercial contracts and alliance arrangements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of private markets processes and investment operations.
- Ability to influence diverse stakeholders across business, operational, and technical domains.
- Skilled in financial modeling, strategic planning, and presenting executive recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities targeting executive audiences.
Preferred Experience
- Background with software vendors or technology platforms catering to alternative asset management or institutional investors.
- Familiarity with implementation, transformation, or managed services.
- Experience designing partner programs, training initiatives, or certification frameworks.
- Exposure to corporate strategy, investment assessments, or mergers and acquisitions.
- Comfort working within multinational teams and cross-regional operational settings.
- Knowledge of emerging AI tools, automation, and data-driven business models.
