Senior Vice President of Operations - Renewable Natural Gas Platform

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to join a leading Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) platform in North America, known for its operational excellence and extensive agricultural RNG asset portfolio. Reporting to the COO, this executive will be instrumental in defining and steering operational strategy across a complex national asset base, driving performance, expansion, and value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a vital member of the executive team, shaping corporate strategy and long-term planning.
• Lead and execute operational vision across an extensive portfolio of RNG assets.
• Support growth initiatives including acquisitions, integrations, and strategic execution alongside executive leadership and the Board.
• Ensure governance, accountability, and top-tier performance within various business units.
• Represent Operations in executive and Board-level discussions.
• Drive operational efficiency, safety, reliability, environmental compliance, and financial outcomes at scale.
• Implement best practice procedures, KPIs, governance structures, and performance measurements.
• Promote a culture emphasizing operational excellence, innovation, and continual improvement.
• Optimize asset performance by increasing methane capture, throughput, uptime, and efficiency.
• Lead reliability assessments, root cause evaluations, and corrective action programs to sustain and enhance asset value.
• Champion digital transformation through adoption of advanced technologies including AI, predictive maintenance, and automation.
• Mentor and develop a high-caliber leadership team, introducing scalable organizational frameworks to support growth.
• Forge and maintain executive-level relationships with producers, partners, investors, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Uphold stringent safety standards and ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental requirements across operating sites.

Candidate Profile and Experience

• Over 20 years of senior operational leadership in RNG, biogas, power generation, industrial processing, utilities, agriculture, or related sectors.
• Proven experience managing large, multi-site industrial operations nationally.
• Previous executive roles such as SVP, VP, or GM with a track record of leading growth, acquisitions, and organizational transformation.
• Knowledge and experience within joint ventures, private equity, or complex ownership models are highly advantageous.
• Technical expertise in industrial processes, asset-heavy businesses, and operational excellence methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
• Strong proficiency in digital operations, AI-enabled optimizations, and data-driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with anaerobic digestion, biomethane, agricultural operations, or wastewater treatment industries is a plus.
• Executive presence with influence at board and investor levels, excellent leadership and people development skills, strategic and commercial insight, and collaborative leadership style.
